The Dirt, The Dream, and The Red Oklahoma Clay

Most days, I'm knee-deep in social media—basically spending my time figuring out why the internet is acting the way it is. But the second I step away from the screen, I’m usually out in the yard trying to convince a bunch of chickens that I actually know what I’m doing.

My life is a constant back-and-forth between high-speed Wi-Fi and high-maintenance gardens. Whether I’m writing a hook for a client or working on Mud & Mismanagement, I’ve realized that marketing and farming are surprisingly similar: they both take a ton of patience, some grit, and the ability to laugh when everything goes sideways.

When I’m not working on a design or getting my hands dirty, I’m probably hunting ghosts in a game or just trying to survive a tactical extraction. I love a good whimsical aesthetic, a strong cup of coffee, and the fact that the best stories usually happen when you aren't afraid to get a little messy.

Really? I can do all of this in my office?!

Tiktok said I can grow seeds in milk jugs? Let's go!
Time to start my seeds? That's what google told me...

Are you KIDDING me right now?!

I have a full-blown, makeshift seed operation happening on a dresser in my office and things are actually… growing? Like, for real. Every time I turn around there’s a new leaf or someone is reaching for the sun and I am just obsessed.

I’m sitting here looking at these tiny tomatoes and onions like "how did we get here??" but also "don't die, please."

Between the dresser garden and the fact that WE GOT CHICKENS (yes, it finally happened!! ), things are getting wild on the farm. I’m already deep in the 'planning and dreaming' phase for the beds—honestly just can’t wait to get out there and start building.

Oklahoma gardening, man. It’s a trip.

Attempting a high-stakes transplant operation.

Current status: The Tomatoes and Onions are keeping a low profile in their plastic bunkers. Unfortunately, the local wildlife have already breached the perimeter and hijacked Jug #4. Apparently, I’m not the only one planning a summer salsa...

I did end up adding two more jugs to the group, so I have 5 (after the hijacking) They are currently sitting in my windowsill so nothing disappears!

POV: You live in Zone 7b and refuse to accept you're a plant assassin.

I am ATTEPTING to sow in milk jugs and will be starting on Monday - maybe? YES! I will start this week... I need to figure out which plants tho (cucs, onions, tomato and garlic??) .... too bad I can't make a poll for how this will all turn out...
